My name is Michael Betts and I am a BACP accredited counsellor based in Clerkenwell with BetterMind. I am committed to providing counselling and therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I work with individual adults on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

About Me
Qualifications
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Masters in Psychological Counselling. I am a member of the BPS (British Psychological Society) with the designatory letters MBPsS. I am a fully accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) with the use of the designatory letters MBACP (Accred) and as such abide by their strict ethical framework for good practice in counselling, I receive regular clinical supervision for my work and I have professional insurance to practice.
Experience
I have 11 years experience working within Mental Health and 8 years experience of psychotherapeutic practice. I have worked within the NHS, private and the voluntary sector as a counsellor/psychotherapist. My experience covers a range of settings including working in Primary Care, working with people with long term enduring Mental Health difficulties and working in community based psychotherapy centres.

My practice is in Clerkenwell near Farringdon in London. I'm based in Exmouth House, 3/11 Pine Street, Farringdon, EC1R 0JH.
